Scholarship and bursaries applications
Applications will be invited for the following scholarships and bursaries.
MDA National and RDAA #DestinationRural bursaries
ATTENTION – JUNIOR / PREVOC DOCS!
GREAT NEWS – applications are now open for the popular MDA National and RDAA #DestinationRural bursaries for 2026!
The bursaries provide up to 5 junior / prevoc docs with $1500 each to assist them in attending RMA26, a state Rural Doctors Association conference, or another rural medical course or event.
⚠️ IMPORTANT – the application process has been streamlined and brought online, so it’s quick and easy to apply!
Applications close on 31 March, so be quick!

Sponsored Future RG program
Multiple scholarships are available for medical students and interns to attend RMA26, based on donations from delegates and sponsors.
Inclusions:
- Full conference registration (three-day program)
- One ticket for the Future Rural Doctors Networking Event and Conference Awards Dinner
- Scheduled meet-and-greet with sponsors
The RMA26 Conference Team look forward to opening Sponsored Future RG applications shortly.
Note: Applicants must be an ACRRM or RDAA student or intern member.
Student volunteer program
Multiple opportunities available for medical students to participate in RMA26 as a student volunteer to help assist the Conference Team with duties onsite.
Inclusions
- Full conference registration (three-day program) allowing access to attend sessions when not rostered on for conference duties (rostered duties will not exceed three half days)
- One ticket for the Future Rural Doctors Networking Event
