As the future of rural health, we’re excited to see a large group of students and interns at RMA each year. With dedicated social events and in-conference sessions, attending RMA25 offers countless opportunities for our future rural doctors to develop valuable skills, make new connections, be inspired, and network with some of the brightest minds in rural medicine.
Whether you’re interested in volunteering or applying for sponsorship, there are many ways to get involved at RMA25.
Sponsored Future Rural Generalist program
Applications are now open.
Attend RMA25 and social events for free with the Sponsored Future Rural Generalist program. You’ll also attend a meet and greet with the generous sponsors who provided donations towards your attendance.

Inclusions:
- Full conference registration (three-day program)
- One ticket for the Future Rural Doctors Networking Event and Conference Awards Dinner
- Scheduled meet-and-greet with sponsors
This program is for medical students and intern members of ACRRM and/or RDAA.
Student Volunteer program
Applications are now open.
The Student Volunteer program gives medical students the opportunity to volunteer at RMA25 and network with hundreds of dedicated rural health professionals and assist conference organisers onsite. Student volunteers enjoy free RMA25 registration and time to attend conference sessions around their volunteer roster.

Applicants advised of outcome Monday 11 August 2025
Inclusions:
- Full conference registration (three-day program) allowing access to attend sessions when not rostered on for conference duties (rostered duties will not exceed three half days)
- One ticket for the Future Rural Doctors Networking Event
This program is for medical student and intern members of ACRRM and/or RDAA.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting an application, the entrant agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:
- Applicants for the Sponsored Future RG or Student volunteer must be an ACRRM or RDAA member, or become a member prior to submission of application.
- Submissions for the Sponsored Future RG and student volunteers will be judged and shortlisted by the conference organisers.
- The judges’ decision is final, and no further discussion will be entered in to.
- Prizes are not negotiable or transferrable.
- All costs including food and drinks outside conference and event inclusions, additional function tickets and any other personal expenses are to be covered by the recipient.
- Sponsored Future RGs must attend RMA25 in its entirety as well as each of the included functions
- Sponsored Future RGs and student volunteers indemnify ACRRM from any loss, injury or damage that may occur through utilisation of their prize.
- Sponsored Future RGs and Student Volunteers are encouraged to participate in positive conference promotion via various media platforms and as supported by the Conference Media Team.
- Student Volunteers must be willing to wear an identifiable safety vest and attentively work their allocated roster.
