Conference organisers have worked to provide event attendees with a safe and enjoyable experience that is COVID safe. The National Convention Centre Canberra (RMA22 venue) has implemented a COVID Safe Plan for all events. For more information, refer to the COVID-19 update here.
Are face masks mandatory?
All requirements by ACT Government or other relevant regulatory bodies are enforced. Attendees are encouraged to observe social distancing rules and, while not mandated, are encouraged to wear masks.
Will face masks be provided?
Thanks to conference partner Healthcare Australia, face masks, hand sanitizers and Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) will be made available for RMA22 attendees throughout the venue.
What should I do if I feel unwell?
If you feel unwell with COVID symptoms, please contact the conference team via the App as soon as possible. The venue has the right to refuse entry and may insist anyone with COVID symptoms leave the event. Further instructions will be communicated by the conference team.
The Venue (NCCC)
Where is RMA22 located?
The National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) is located in the city centre and close to all services, attractions and amenities that Canberra has to offer. It’s 7km from Canberra Airport and easily accessible by car, taxi and public transport at any time of the day. For more information, including directions, click here.
What about parking and accessibility?
The NCCC is a fully accessible venue. If you are driving to the NCCC there is convenient and secure underground car parking available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Learn more about accessibility and rates here.
Yes, free public Wi-Fi is available at the NCCC which entitles you to 3 hours of access, 4 times a day. To connect, turn on your Wi-Fi and select ‘NCC Wireless’. Open your preferred web browser and wait for the automatic log in page to load. Click ‘select’ under the ‘public areas’ option and click ‘connect.
Will a parent's room be available on site?
Yes, a quite private room for parents will be available for use throughout the conference. This room is located in Boardroom 1.
Will a prayer room be available on site?
Yes, a quite private room for prayer will be available for use throughout the conference. This room is located in Boardroom 2.
What taxi services and ride share services are available?
There are a number of different taxi services available in Canberra including: ACT Cabs (Ph: 02 6280 0077), Canberra Elite Taxis (Ph: 6126 1600) and Silver Service Canberra (Ph: 133 100).

Registration and Event Information
What times does RMA22 registration open?
Wednesday 12 October: 2.00pm- 4.00pm
Thursday 13 October: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 14 October: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Saturday 15 October: 7.00pm- 3.30pm
Do I need to register for social events?
Delegates must register for all social functions they wish to attend – regardless of whether they are a free (included) event or not. Registration ensures the venue is prepared to cater for the correct number of delegates for a fun and relaxed event.
Is parking available at offsite social events?
Yes. Onsite parking is available for the Conference Awards Dinner (Parliament House) and the Registrars' Networking event (National Arboretum).
When do I need to wear my lanyard?
The RMA22 lanyard is used for identification purposes and entry into all social functions, plenary and academic sessions. This includes the Conference Awards Dinner at Parliament House.
What will be held on-site at the NCCC?
All sessions and social functions will be held onsite at the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) except for the Future Gens’ networking event, Registrars’ networking event and Conference Awards Dinner.
What is the dress code?
Dress code for the conference is smart casual. Please refer to the social events webpage for any specific dress code requirements for social events.
What do I need to know about the Conference Awards Dinner?
The dress code for the RMA22 Conference Awards Dinner is black tie (formal). Additional security measures are in place for the dinner this year due to Parliament House processes and protocols. Delegates will not be able to gift unused tickets as pre-event security checks on all guests will have been conducted.
How do I purchase extra tickets for the conference dinner?
The conference awards dinner is a sold out event. Unfortunately last minute tickets cannot be purchased or swapped.
What do I do if I require assistance?
RMA staff are easily identifiable in their branded shirts. Alternatively, you can send us a message through the RMA22 app.
Can I get CPD hours for conference attendance?
You can receive up to 16 hours of CPD for attending RMA22.
I’m struggling to find accommodation in Canberra?
Please visit the RMA22 accommodation webpage to find suitable options near the conference venue. You can also view a larger range of options around the city on the VisitCanberra website.
What else can I do while I’m in in Canberra after the conference?
Refer to the VisitCanberra or other tourism websites to find out about activities and events going on at the time.
