We're excited to present a calendar of social events available for delegates throughout RMA20. These events are all onsite at the Crowne Plaza, Hunter Valey and provide you with the perfect opportunity to mingle and network with others who are passionate about rural and remote medicine. 

Conference Dinner and Excellence Awards

Enjoy a delicious three course meal and drinks, applaud award winners, and dance the night away. This event is always a highlight of the conference. The night provides the opportunity for delegates to let their hair down, network with colleagues in a relaxed environment, and acknowledge and support those who have exceeded in their support for rural and remote medicine for 2020. This is a popular event and tickets are limited. Be sure to purchase your tickets on registration so you don't miss out.

Experience the Hunter Valley first hand at our popular Welcome Reception. Network with peers, meet new friends and enjoy the included drinks and finger food before the conference officially opens the next morning.

Trivia Extravaganza

Held straight after the RMA20 Welcome Reception this event is one not to miss! Form a team, create a great name, start researching pub trivia and let the competition begin.

Registrars Networking Reception

Registrars' Networking Reception

This is an exclusive event for all registrars attending RMA20 who want to connect after the first official day of conference. Don't forget to keep an eye out for your dedicated Registrar Committee who can't wait to welcome you to RMA (they'll be the ones wearing the blue shirts).

Future Generalists' Function

This is our dedicated student and junior doctors event and a great way for our future rural generalists to meet, mingle, and network with fellow students, and junior doctors from around Australia. It’s time to dust off your leather boots because this year’s theme is Country Muster!

Presidents-Breakfast

Presidents' Breakfast

The popular Presidents' Breakfast covers a range of current and topical health matters over breakfast. Key issues will be covered by a panel of Presidents' and specialists in their field in an interactive Q&A format with the audience. Please note that tickets to this event are strictly limited and it sells out every year. Ensure you book your seat when you purchase conference tickets, so you don’t miss out.

Recovery Breakfast

RMA Golf Classic

RMA Golf Classic

Join us for the inaugural RMA Golf Classic – get your team of 2, 3 or 4 to play in our 9 hole ambrose event on Saturday, following the end of RMA20.  Never played golf before? Don’t worry – that will make it so much more fun.  Don’t have a team?  No drama we will hook you up.  There will be plenty of prizes on offer, there will be rules (for the golfing stalwarts who dare not deviate from the rules – you know who you are), and no doubt plenty of laughs.  Clubs and buggies will be available for hire – but get in early to guarantee your place.
