Student Volunteer Program

The Student Volunteer program gives medical students the opportunity to attend RMA21 to network with hundreds of dedicated rural health professionals and assist onsite.

Volunteers will work alongside the RMA crew and be rostered on for up to three half day shifts throughout the conference. The remainder of the time is yours to immerse yourself within the conference. Duties include ushering; providing directions; supporting presenters delivering student workshops, and ‘runner’ duties as required.

Volunteers will be expected to attend a briefing and training session onsite at the Crown Perth on Wednesday 20 October.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be 18 years old or over
  • Be a current student enrolled in an Australian university studying a medicine degree
  • Be a current student member of ACRRM and/or RDAA

View the full Student Volunteer Guidelines here.

Please note: All successful volunteers must arrange their own travel and accommodation to and from the conference, as well any additional paid social functions, including the Presidents' Breakfast and Conference Dinner and Excellence Awards.

Please note: you must be an ACRRM or RDAA student member to apply.

Applications are now closed.
